Agent gets enlightened

A look at everything going on in the world of Replit.

Agent has had a glow-up, with access to some new tools. You can make it think harder, use a more powerful LLM and even get it to search the web for you.

Full details here.

And a tutorial from Matt to walk you through.

And if you’re wondering whether the new modes are useful…

Custom instructions for Agent

Agent now adds a replit.md file to every project it creates.

The primary purpose is to create a running summary of what’s been built/updated/fixed, which Agent will reference as it goes - but it can also be used to provide custom instructions for Agent to follow.

And, as you’d expect, here’s Matt with a tutorial.

When ChatGPT started being able to search the web, it got a lot more useful - and the same is true for Agent.

With web search, Agent has access to the latest documentation for any APIs and packages you want to integrate, and it can find content for sites you’re building.
