News from Replit
The big news this week is that Replit Agent is out of beta. And, there’s a new update to their older AI chat tool, which now becomes Assistant. It has the ability to make code changes for you (before you had to do that yourself).
The other update is with pricing. Instead of time-capped usage of Replit (annoying!), you can now build all you want. Checkpoints in Agent are charged at $0.25 each and Assistant code changes are $0.05 each. Use from your plan credit and then top up extra if needed.
Announcing updates to the Replit Agent.
The early access period is over. Today, we are launching:
1. Assistant
2. Unlimited usage
3. Attachments + URLs
4. Visual outputsReplit Agent is the best tool for ANYONE -- technical and non-technical alike -- to build ideas 0 to 1.

Oh, and the layout has changed as well - the sidebar is easier to navigate and emphasis is on the Agent/Assitant chat now.
Tips & resources
Matt Palmer, head of developer relations at Replit, posted an intro video showing off the new features of Assistant.
Here's a first look at the new Replit Assistant. Rolling out now to all users.

And a longer deep dive with tips and tricks.
Community updates
This week has seen a bunch more Replit staffers from the engineering and product team join the community.
They’ve mostly hung out in the #feedback-bugs channel triaging issues and ideas from community members. So, if you’ve got something to say about Replit, do it in there.
And one interesting clue to come out of the community - it looks like Replit might be working on more native app integrations.
Their auto-provisioned PostgreSQL databases from Neon are great so more connections would be awesome. It could even position Replit as an alternative to Zapier.
Seriously? If you're running 15k @zapier Zaps a day, you have an unhealthy (and costly) SaaS habit.
Ya' know -- you could take a picture of the zaps and let @Replit Agent build a custom version of Zapier that's faster, cheaper, more custom, and likely better than your current… x.com/i/web/status/1…

Zero (fasting app) was $30/yr (down from $100). I’ve seen @amasad’s demos of what you can build with @Replit, and thought I’d try to make my own version.
Spent that $30 on @Replit Core instead ($10/mo for 3 months) and built this in 10 mins from my phone.

This 3D car model that @Replit Agent made for me is so adorable.
I think I'll keep asking it to "make the 3D shape more complex and realistic" until it breaks

One of the best tools I have discovered recently is @Replit agents. Created a complete, decent-looking demo app for creative automation using @ImagekitIo to showcase at an event. Took less than an hour with a few prompts.

"They'll bob up and down as they go, and you can even pause them by hovering over them - maybe they're stopping to check who's been naughty or nice! 🎄✨"
@Replit Assistant is out, and you can customize it to have a sense of joy.
