The big splash last week was Design Mode. Powered by the new Gemini 3 model, it promises an end to the generic AI slop designs we’ve all got used to from vibe coding tools.

Once upon a time, Replit had Agent and Assistant, and while the latter never went away, it’s basically a legacy tool these days.

It still has its fans, though, because it’s a) fast and b) cheap - fixed at 5 cents per update.

Aiming to bring that magic to Agent, there’s now Fast Mode - which thinks less, works quicker, and until Dec 1st is free to use.
