Oh, and we’re on Reddit now as well at /r/ReplitBuilders.

The big news this week is that Replit has completely revamped its mobile app to put Agent/Assistant front and centre of the experience.

And, they’re giving everyone 10 free checkpoints to build with (so $2.50).

This dovetailed perfectly with the coining of a new thing called ‘vibe coding’.

If you’re wondering what that means, this sums it up.

Business Insider has even picked up on this new trend.

And, if using Replit on your mobile isn’t enough, you can now use Replit to build mobile apps as well - thanks to a new Expo template.

Right now, you can only use Assistant, but it should come to Agent soon.

What’s new with Replit

There have been smaller updates and improvements as well.

When sharing apps (now called ‘remixing’ instead of ‘forking’), the cover page has been improved and now includes the initial Agent prompt for you to reuse.

And, you can now manage your Neon databases right inside the editor.

Finally, an unofficial update in the form of a tweet from Amjad.

Typically Agent is only available on apps started using Agent.

But if you want you stick “?agent=1” on the end of any Replit app editor URL, it will force Agent to open.

Useful and interesting

If building mobile apps is new to you, then this tutorial from Matt Palmer should get you started. It’s the first of a two-parter. The next video will cover how to publish the apps you build.

Meanwhile, email tool Kit has launched a new learning platform so you can create Kit apps with Replit Agent without knowing any code.

Finally, I found this video with Billy Howell, talking through how he built and sold his first app with Replit.

Built with Replit

So much is getting built on Replit these days, this section of the newsletter will slim down a bit, and just include really unique stuff.

Like this.
