Oh, and we’re on Reddit now as well at /r/ReplitBuilders.
The big news this week is that Replit has completely revamped its mobile app to put Agent/Assistant front and centre of the experience.
And, they’re giving everyone 10 free checkpoints to build with (so $2.50).
This week in Replit:
1/ Agent and Assistant are now FREE to try! Get your first 10 checkpoints on us - yes, even if you're already on Core. Head to replit.com to give it a shot.
2/ Replit Mobile has been completely rebuilt from the ground up! Faster, smoother creation on the… x.com/i/web/status/1…

This dovetailed perfectly with the coining of a new thing called ‘vibe coding’.
If you’re wondering what that means, this sums it up.
There's a new kind of coding I call "vibe coding", where you fully give in to the vibes, embrace exponentials, and forget that the code even exists. It's possible because the LLMs (e.g. Cursor Composer w Sonnet) are getting too good. Also I just talk to Composer with SuperWhisper… x.com/i/web/status/1…

Business Insider has even picked up on this new trend.
And, if using Replit on your mobile isn’t enough, you can now use Replit to build mobile apps as well - thanks to a new Expo template.
Right now, you can only use Assistant, but it should come to Agent soon.
Announcing Native Mobile App support on Replit.
Now you can build iOS and Android apps that you can take all the way to the App Store without writing any code, powered by Replit Assistant.
This is early access—full Agent support coming soon!

What’s new with Replit
There have been smaller updates and improvements as well.
When sharing apps (now called ‘remixing’ instead of ‘forking’), the cover page has been improved and now includes the initial Agent prompt for you to reuse.

And, you can now manage your Neon databases right inside the editor.

Finally, an unofficial update in the form of a tweet from Amjad.
Typically Agent is only available on apps started using Agent.
But if you want you stick “?agent=1” on the end of any Replit app editor URL, it will force Agent to open.
It takes a lot of work to make it reliable on any given stack.
But here try this add ?agent=1 to your project url and try it. This will force agent to appear.
Tell me what you think.

Useful and interesting
If building mobile apps is new to you, then this tutorial from Matt Palmer should get you started. It’s the first of a two-parter. The next video will cover how to publish the apps you build.

AI-built personal software is changing the creator economy.
When you hit an obstacle in your business now you can overcome it with an app, you built yourself, with a few prompts.
This isn't some future state. It's what is possible today.

Built with Replit
So much is getting built on Replit these days, this section of the newsletter will slim down a bit, and just include really unique stuff.
Like this.
Can @Replit run DOOM? Yes it can!
I saw Replit added a template for mobile app development, so I decided to make my first app! It's a functional GameBoy Advance emulator, and it runs DOOM! Thanks @pirroh for help getting started.🫡@amasad and team! Built with Sonnet in Replit.— Michael Emling (@MichaelMEmling)
